Research for the Runoffs!
The July 14th Texas Primary Runoff Election is just around the corner and early voting starts June 29th. This is a perfect time to research what will be on your ballot, learn about candidates, and plan your vote. The Texas Educators Vote website’s research page links you to non-partisan sources where you can find out where candidates stand on various public education questions and build your ballot. One of the most important parts about voting is being informed about your choices and then casting your ballot knowing that your vote will affect you and your community each and every day. Get ready now!
To do:
- Visit Teach the Vote to see how candidates responded to questions about public education issues. You can also see the public education related voting records for incumbents on this site.
- Consult the League of Women Voters’ (LWVTX) Voters Guide in English and/or in Spanish.
- Build your ballot with the League of Women Voter’s Vote411.org website.
