Education is always on the ballot – Vote Early!

Education is always on the ballot – Vote Early!

Early voting is underway for the Texas Primary Runoff Elections and continues through July 10th, with the exception of July 3rd and 4th. If you haven’t already voted, use the holiday weekend to prepare and plan your vote.  If you voted in the March primary election, you can vote only in the party’s runoff that you voted in in March. If you missed the March primary, and are registered to vote, you can vote in either party’s primary runoff.

Because elected leaders make important decisions about public education, make sure you do your research before you vote. Build your ballot at Vote411 and print it out before you head to the polls, because Texas law doesn’t permit voters to look at phones while voting. Make sure you are safe and ready by bringing a mask, hand sanitizer, and an accepted form of voter ID.

Be ready, be safe, and be heard!

To do:

  1. Research what will be on your ballot and see where candidates stand on public education issues through links on the TEV research page to Teach the Vote and The League of Women Voters of Texas.
  2. Build your ballot with the League of Women Voter’s Vote111.org website.
  3. Make sure you have your mask, hand sanitizer, and voter ID.
  4. GO VOTE!
