Be a poll worker!

Be a poll worker!

The July 14th primary runoff elections will be here before you know it. One way you can participate in this election (in addition to voting) is to become a poll worker. Many of our poll workers are over 65 years old and in the greatest risk category for COVID-19. Without major expansion of vote by mail (which seems unlikely) we will need more election administrators at the polls. Counties will need to increase the number of trained poll workers and election judges to cover absences and prevent the closure of polling places. Please check with your county elections office if you are willing and able to help out. For more information about helping out at the polls, read this helpful information from the League of Women Voters of Texas.

To do:

  1. Check with your county elections office about becoming a poll worker.
  2. Mark your calendar for early voting June 29 – July 10 and primary runoff election day July 14.
