Make your voting plan today

Early voting for the November 5th election begins on Monday, October 21st, and continues through November 1st. On October 16, 2019, Texas Secretary of State Ruth Hughes, issued a press release encouraging Texans to vote early and prepare to cast their ballots in the November 5th election. There are 10 constitutional amendments that all voters can vote on, and many voters will have additional measures on their ballots. Studies show that having a voting plan increases the likelihood that voters will actually vote. Make sure you have a voting plan and invite your friends and family to do the same. Be prepared, be informed, and go VOTE!

To do:

  1. Make your voting plan, by answering who, what, where, when, and how.
  2. Use these websites to help make your voting plan.
-The League of Women Voters’ Vote411 will help you find your polling locations and times, what is on your ballot, and more. Print out your ballot and bring it with you to the polls.
-The Texas Secretary of State’s VoteTexas.Gov will help you understand what identification you need, and has answers to many other voting and election-related questions.
  3. Bring your friends, family, and kids to vote with you. It is fun and will help create a culture of voting.
